Merry Christmas 2010...
Like most kids, I like Christmas because I will get a lot of presents. Some are Christmas presents, some are Birthday presents, and some are a combination of both. Regardless, I like them all. Mummy and Daddy got me this really cool Rocking Horse. It even has buttons on its ears which when pressed makes the horse neighs and wags it's tail.
We had a really good time opening all the presents and I managed to take a picture of all the presents I received. Thank you all aunties and uncles for the presents. Merry Christmas to all...

Let there be Lights...
We managed to get on the Orchard Road Christmas Lights Hippo Tour tonight without any hiccups. Crowd was manageable so we didn't really have to rush at all. The guide was very good and funny so everyone had a really good time. I too enjoyed the lights and cos we were sitting on the top deck of the topless bus, I could feel the wind in my face as we rode down Orchard Road. Daddy and Mummy had fun too and they probably don't mind doing it again next year if they still have this service.

I am 2 years old!
I am officially 2 years old today! How time flies. I thought I just celebrated my 1 year old party just a while ago....
Mummy and Daddy lined up a full day event for me today. Starting with a little party in school with my classmates. Unfortunately the school does not encourage party packs so all they prepared was a birthday cake, which was good enough for me. I had 2 servings of it, as did some of my classmates, much to the amazement of Mummy. We only stayed a little longer after the cake so it wouldn't be too hot for the next event. I felt like a celebrity as I was whizzed to the zoo...
We couldn't believe it when we got to the zoo. It was so so so crowded even at 11 am. There was a snake queue just to get the tickets so Daddy decided we wouldn't join in the mad rush. Just so it was not a wasted trip, we had ice cream at Ben and Jerry and I had a ball running around and playing with the rhino and elephant statues.. When we left the zoo at about 12.30 pm, there were still people walking in and joining the queue to get tickets.
Daddy and Mummy decided I will not miss out on the chance to play with animals (which happens to be my favourite, evidenced by me waking up in the morning and singing E I E I O like it is the national anthem) so we headed to Farm Mart located at Choa Chu Kang. In contrast to the zoo, this place was very quiet. In fact, we were the only ones at the farm area which was perfect for me as I had the animals all to myself. I got to buy treats to feed the goats and bunnies and I had a blast. I also saw lots of turtles, bull frogs, hamsters, birds and fishes....
I was very tired after the farm and had my milk in the car and fell asleep on Mummy's lap as Daddy drove us home.
When I finally woke up at about 5 pm, Mummy quickly changed me and we were out of the house in a jiffy. We were headed to Orchard Road to catch the Christmas lighting and we were told we could get free tickets on the Hippo Tour Bus if we could show any receipt with at least $100 of purchase. Daddy had a few from the Christmas shopping so we were booked for the 8.30 pm tour. Daddy and Mummy felt very "kiasu" going so early to book but they really didn't want me to miss the lights.
While waiting for 8.30 pm, we had dinner at Paragon and even managed to meet up with Enthia and Aunty Michelle for our little Christmas gift exchange. It was so crowded at Paragon but I managed to roam around while Mummy and Aunty Michelle chatted. I even brought my dog out for my walk!
Despite the kiasu effort to secure a place on the Hippo tour, we were not in luck as it started raining at 8.25 pm just as we were preparing to board the bus. Much to the disappointment of Mummy and Daddy (I was nonchalantly playing with the Iphone) , the tour was postponed and we will try again on Thursday. Let's hope the weather holds up then...
We headed home and this was how I celebrated my 2nd birthday. Thank you Mummy and Daddy....

No Dialect Please
Mummy and Daddy started talking in a strange language these days. I believe it is Teochew which I obviously don't understand. And I have a strange feeling it is because they don't want me to know what they are talking about. Maybe I should stay with my grand aunties and learn to speak Teochew so Mummy and Daddy won't be able to hide anything from me.

Musselicious...
Daddy had this sudden craving for mussels (no he is not pregnant, just fat) so we headed for The Mussel Guys at Vivo for lunch. The mussels served here is much bigger and tastier than those at Brussels Sprouts. Daddy is quite sure they are cheaper here too. As usual, I can only eat pasta so Daddy ordered the Salmon Pasta in cream sauce for me and I must say it was very tasty as I had 2 servings of it. The chicken wings didn't look too bad too but it was spicy so I couldn't eat them. Of course Mummy and Daddy didn't think I should eat anything that came out of shells so I also had to avoid the mussels.

La Petite Cuisine
We were at Serene Centre this morning and Mummy and Daddy decided to have an early lunch at La Petite Cuisine. It is a little French restaurant at the side entrance. The chef is this very grand-fatherly looking old French man who cooks from a glass kitchen. The food was very nice but I cannot say the same about the head waiter. He sounded very rude and impatient but Mummy and Daddy wasn't gonna let that spoil our lunch.
As usual I had pasta while Mummy and Daddy had the Duck Confit and Goat Cheese with salad.
For dessert, we headed to Island Creamery for ice cream. I had fun doodling with their crayons.

Barney Christmas Special
I ended my GUG class in the late morning and Mummy decided we should stay around and catch the Barney Christmas Special at United Square. We had a quick lunch at the food court and like all "kiasu" Singaporean, we decided to get a good spot to catch the show. We went to Ben & Jerry's on the third floor where we had a bird's eye view of the stage. We had ice cream on waffles as we watched 30 mins of Barney and friends celebrating Christmas. They sang Christmas carols and also some of their own songs. I had a good time but I'm not sure about Mummy and Daddy. They cannot believe they actually braved the crowd and caught the performance. They must really love me very much.

Fika...
No I am not scolding anyone. It is the name of a restaurant that serves very nice Swedish food and located along Arab Street. Mummy and Daddy like this place cos first of all it serves very good food and second of all, the decoration is very nice and clean. We ordered the Seafood Pasta as that is one dish I like and can eat on my own. The serving was surprisingly very large and the sauce very rich with lots of herbs. We also ordered the Grilled Chicken crepe which again was a large serving and very tasty. Yummy...
