I Cannot Believe I am 1 Year Old!

I made it! I am 1 year old, well almost, in 2 days time.

Mummy and Daddy decided to throw me a birthday bash for being a good boy for the last 12 months. I heard they searched high and low for a nice place and finally decided on this really cool restaurant called 15 mins located at Lasalle. Well, it was a cool place alright, and I think all who were there couldn't agree more.

Aunty Jackie was very sweet and made some really nice cupcakes for the party. Although I couldn't really eat any of them, I think all the kids who had it enjoyed it. Thank you Aunty Jackie for the very pretty cuppies! And if you like to order some for yourself, you can call her at 9665.0178 :) Speaking of cakes, Mummy ordered this really cute looking Noah's Ark with pairs of cute animals perched on the ark. It was very pretty and also a pity when we had to cut it up. Thank you Mummy.

And finally, thank you all Aunties and Uncles who were at the party and for all the nice presents. I am really looking forward to the next birthday party!

Teeth No. 5 and 6

It has been a while since I developed any new tooth, the last being on the 25th of September. So finally two new teeth appeared on my upper jaw and I sure hope I don't have to wait another 2.5 months for the rest of my teeth. By the way, my 2 existing upper teeth are huge and Mummy and Daddy sometimes calls me bugs bunny..

Protect and Serve

The reason for the lapse in my entries is because Daddy had to go to the army for reservist training so he couldn't help me with the entries. He was there for a long period this time, from the 29th of Oct to the 14th of Nov. Daddy says he is from the artillery but supporting the infantry so he has to walk with the infantry battalion. Daddy also says I have to go the army next time when I turn 18 and then it will be my turn to protect and serve the country. I hope I will have as much fun as Daddy when I am in the army.

Uncle Nestor and Aunty Felicia

Uncle Nestor and Aunty Felicia are Mummy's friends. They were working in San Francisco for many years and Mummy says they have a big house there. Unfortunately, we didn't get a chance to visit them in SF and now they are back in Macau and probably not going back to SF for some time. They decided to pop by Singapore for a couple of days to visit some of Aunty Felicia's relatives and friends and we managed to spend some time with them at Foster's in Holland Village. Uncle Nestor is a very funny guy and he makes lots of funny faces. As you can tell from the picture, I was a little nervous when he carried me.

Look Mummy, No Hands!

I have started standing on my own while playing with my toys. And on some occasion, I have unconsciously lifted both my hands up in the air and looked like I could walk on my own. Mummy and Daddy are very proud that I have reached this milestone and they look forward to seeing me walk on my own very soon. I am not so sure they are ready for me walking on my own cos they would have to chase after me and eventually have an aching back. We shall see.

Gym

Mummy and Daddy decided that I should get some exercise since I look big even though everybody knows I am tough, not fat. After all, a little exercise will do me some good too. So we signed up for a trial class at My Gym @ Marine Parade today. There were like 12 other kids there for the trial and they ranged from 6 months to 2.5 years old. We tried a couple of stunts and I must say I had lots of fun. I was even thrown into the air with a somersault before landing on my bum. You should have seen Daddy's face as he was shocked to see what they did to me and he only felt relieved when he saw a smile on my face. Needless to say, Daddy and Mummy were convinced that I will enjoy myself there so we signed up for 8 lessons. Can't wait to start my classes.

Little Neuro Tree

I attended my first lesson at Little Neuro Tree today. Mummy and Daddy decided that we should register at the main branch near Bugis Junction as they seem more professionally managed. There are a total of 6 of us in the class and we sat in a semi circle in front of the teacher. Although we are all around the same ages, I am the youngest of them all. Either Mummy or Daddy are required to accompany me so that they can practice what we learn at home. There will be a total of 10 sessions per term and classes will be conducted in a different language each time starting with English, Japanese and then Mandarin. I had fun for my first lesson although I need to learn not to cry when I have to return the toys to the teacher.
