New Toy

Ye Ye and Nai Nai bought me a new toy today. They saw this cool looking tricycle at Giant Superstore which allows them to push me around before I can reach the pedals and ride on my own. It also has this very annoying music when I push the buttons at the front panel. I think it is to announce my arrival when I ride around the neighborhood. One day I will be able to ride on my own without any support from the back. Thank you Ye Ye and Nai Nai.

Nai Nai has started feeding me beef porridge and I love it. It taste very nice and Mummy says it is very good for me as I am still developing and growing. As you can tell from the video, I am very passionate about my porridge.

New Car Seat

I used to have a Maxi Cosi baby carrier which I have unfortunately outgrown it. So in the spirit of safety during car rides, Daddy and Mummy decided to buy me a new car seat, one which can apparently last me till I am 4 years old. At the rate I am growing, I will be happy I can sit in it till I am 2 years old. It is very comfortable and I like it very much. It allows me to catch a glimpse of what is happening outside while Daddy is driving. Apparently the lady who sold it said this is the business class of car seats. Thank you Mummy and Daddy.

First Hair Cut

My hair has been growing rather slowly and it seems to look like the few miserable strands of hair on the elephant's head so Mummy and Daddy decided to shave me, not completely bald but with about half a centimeter left, in the hopes that it will recharge the growth. It was a painful affair for me as it felt strange to have a shaver run all over my head. When it was all over, I thought I look rather good and wished I had done it earlier. Now I just pray that I will have more hair growing.

Mummy bought some organic apples for me and decided to steam it until they are marshy before feeding me. It tasted very nice and I liked it. However, I realised that shortly after consuming the apples, I started getting very hyper and was throwing my arms and legs in the air as if there were mosquitoes around me. Mummy and Daddy figured that it must be the sugar rush for me since this is the first time I am eating anything sweet. I am sure they will be very careful not to feed me any apples before I sleep now.

6 Months Later

We met up with Mummy's friend Uncle Som and Aunty Mou today for lunch. Aunty Mou is pregnant and wanted to meet up before she pops and is confined to the house for a couple of months. More importantly, they wanted to see me as it has been 6 months since they last saw me at the hospital. We had lunch at TaiPan Restaurant at the Civil Service Club in Changi Village. Apparently the food was pretty good and everyone had a good time. Of course I had to poo during lunch and Daddy showed Uncle Som how to change diapers since he will have to learn sooner or later.

In the evening, Mummy and Daddy went for Uncle Leslie and Aunty Alina's wedding dinner at the Four Seasons Hotel. It was a small affair with 6 tables of close friends sharing this happy occasion. Uncle Leslie is Mummy's old secondary school mate and he met Aunty Alina who is a Romanian while they were both studying in Toronto.

This is my first video recording. I think I need to work on a more graceful fall.

Singapore Barrage

The Marina Barrage is a dam in Singapore built across the Marina Channel between the reclaimed lands of Marina East and Marina South. Ye Ye wanted to take a look at this award winning barrage and so we all decided to go there since I have not been there too. We got there at about 5.30pm and it was not hot at all as the sun was about to set. Plus it was very windy and so I had no complains. Evan Kor Kor had a good time running around the big field where many people were either having a picnic or flying kites. Daddy says he will get me a kite when I am able to run about. We had a good time at the barrage and will likely have a picnic the next time we go there.

Circumcision?

I went to the Marine Parade Polyclinic today for another round of the vaccination. It was not the usual nurse who helped me the last few times. It was a Chinese nurse who seem to have worked there a long time. Anyway, she did the usual questioning before administering the vaccination. At one point, she said she needed to take measurement of my head circumcision. Daddy looked stunned for a moment and confirmed with her that we were there for vaccination, not circumcision. She apologised for using the wrong term. She meant to say circumference. I hope Daddy and Mummy didn't get any funny ideas of circumcision. I heard it is very painful.
